Hello! I am a sound engineer, and I recently purchased the Mbox N4 for my audio work. Overall, the device makes a great impression, and I really like it. However, I’ve encountered an issue that currently renders it completely unusable for me at this stage. I would like to use the MIDI plugin from Trevliga Spel, which, by the way, is available not only in the Elgato plugin store but also in the Mirabox plugin store. Here it is:
I’m specifically interested in the Mackie Control mode of the plugin.
To reproduce the issue, you don’t need to own any MIDI devices, understand how they work, or be familiar with the terminology. All you need to do is try installing the plugin and verify what I describe below.
When using Mackie Control within the plugin, you need to select a layout to match the software the plugin will interact with. In the Elgato Stream Deck application, the "Layout" dropdown menu is displayed correctly:
However, when the plugin is installed in the Mirabox Stream Dock application, the dropdown menu contains only one item: "Generic (Not found)." As a result, further configuration of the plugin becomes impossible.
I have already contacted the plugin developer directly, but he informed me that the plugin was created for Elgato, and he is not familiar with Mirabox software and not able to fix the issue. Please make an effort to resolve this on your end. At the moment, this problem effectively prevents sound engineers and sound producers from using Mirabox equipment to control their devices and software via the most common and convenient protocol. Moreover, I believe this issue in your software, which prevents the dropdown menu from being displayed correctly, could negatively impact the user experience of many other plugins as well.
I look forward to your response. Thank you in advance!
